The replica canal boat is on the Canal Place Festival Grounds. SUMMARY:C&O Canal Association Heritage Hike
DESCRIPTION:Who wants to take a hike? Next to the Canal? With lots of fall colors in October?\nWE DO!!\n\n\n\nJoin the C&O Canal Association on a Heritage Hike on October 21\, 2023. There will be multiple hikes offered that day and participants need to sign up and pay in advance (as buses will be provided to transport you to the starting point of the walks). All walks will end at Canal Place and hikers will need to sign a waiver before boarding the buses that will transport you to the hike starting points.  Be sure you bring a packed lunch and a drink as the hikes are long (11\, 9\, or 5.5 miles long).  Buses will depart at 10am to take hikers to the furthest points for the first set of walks. The bus for the 5.5 mile hike will depart at 11am. \n\n\n\nIf you want to see more of what the C&O Canal Association does you may want to join them for their annual dinner that evening at 6pm at the Allegany Museum (there is an hour of Happy Hour prior to the meal with a cash bar).
