If These Halls Could Talk….

Join in on a nostalgic weekend with all those that walked the halls of Campobello in a tribute to Allegany High School on Sedgwick Street.

The weekend will be filled with events, but happening on Saturday, July 9, from 2pm until your curfew (when the street lights come on), the Canal Place Festival Grounds will be where everyone is catching up and hanging out (just like in High School) enjoying some music and vendors as well as some special guests. Be sure to bring your chair or a blanket to enjoy the event.

There will be a 75’x30′ tent with tables and chairs to enjoy a meal or a drink from: Chef Paul, Klavuhn’s Wood Fired Pizza, Klavuhn’s Mexican Food Truck, Queen City Creamery’s Frozen Custard Truck, Lost Mountain BBQ, 1812 Brewery, and Western Maryland Distributing.

Allegany related vendors include: Fade to Blue tent, Gridiron Club, Band Boosters, Home Before Dawn and more.

Live Music will include: Dan Stevens (class of 2000) acoustic opening and Good Missiles (formerly Velvet Jones) where every band member is an ALCO alumni and their first gig was at Allegany.

Be sure to venture to the Allegany Arts Council from 2pm -6pm, to enjoy  “Fade to Blue, A Photographic Journey”, by Michael Hunter Thompson, the creator of this event. Stop by the the Allegany Museum for the “American High School Experience” which will include all things Allegany, including videos and a Lego version of the school.  Think you may be too caught up in renewing friendships to make it to the exhibits? Not to worry as they will be available to be viewed until July 30th.

This event is FREE to the public, so plan on joining in at Canal Place for the reunion of all reunions!

Made possible by County United Way, Western Maryland Jaycees, Fade to Blue, and the Arts & Entertainment District of Cumberland, Maryland.

Enjoy your day of  catching up  but please be respectful of those that are still practicing social distancing or wearing a mask.  The public bathrooms by the Shops at Canal Place will be open for use and to allow for frequent hand washing as well.
