Juneteenth Celebration, Noon-5pm, June 19th
Join up for the Juneteenth Celebration in Cumberland, at Canal Place Festival Grounds, commemorating the final liberation of enslaved Americans with a music festival. Along with the music of Joe Keyes & the Late Bloomer Band, Project 4 Life, New Chapter, Black Guy Fawkes, Souls Won Ministries and Divine Excellence, there will be 30 Black Business Vendors and a Health Fair. Food Vendors include: Fat Bottom Grille, Stephens City Diner, Good Carma Catering and Allegania.
Prior to the events happening at Canal Place join in for the following Juneteenth events:
6am for a Virtual Meditation
9am – Remembrance Ceremony: Allegany County Lynching Truth and Reconciliation
11am- March for Justice (meet at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Washington Street)
