Cumberland Railroad Museum

The Cumberland Railroad Museum is devoted exclusively to the city’s rich railroad heritage.

On display at the museum are artifacts from the Baltimore & Ohio, Western Maryland, Georges Creek & Cumberland, Cumberland & Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Railroads.

A joint venture between the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad (WMSR) and the Western Maryland Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, the museum offers the visitor a view of Cumberland’s railroad history. The museum gift shop offers a full line of railroad items devoted to the WMSR.

We also offer tours of the caboose located on the concourse of the WMSR station.

The museum is located on the Canal Place grounds near the Footer Building. 17 Howard Street, Unit C-5 (Canal Place), Cumberland, MD 21502.
